			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Often, people who are looking for the best weight loss program are also seeking easy weight loss. There&#8217;s nothing wrong with that. Between work, family and other obligations most Americans are simply too busy for a diet and exercise program that doesn&#8217;t produce fast results.</p>
<p>For those seeking to achieve a healthy weight quickly, hydraulic fitness equipment may be the best answer. This is true because most circuit training equipment is double-concentric.</p>
<p>There are two movements in any resistance training (weight lifting) exercise. These are called the concentric and the eccentric parts of the exercise, also commonly referred to as the &#8216;positive&#8217; and &#8216;negative&#8217;.</p>
<p>The concentric (positive) part of the resistance training movement is defined as &#8220;Muscle action in which the muscle is shortening under its own power&#8221; (source: International Sports Sciences Association; 2001).  Examples would be pushing the bar away from you on a bench press, or lifting the bar towards your chin on a biceps curl.</p>
<p>The eccentric (negative) part of the resistance training movement is defined as &#8220;Muscle action in which the muscle resists while it is forced to lengthen&#8221; (source: International Sports Sciences Association; 2001).  Examples would be lowering the bar on a bench press, or lowering the bar away from your chin on a biceps curl.</p>
<p>The majority of hydraulic circuit training equipment does not have an eccentric movement. Instead, it is double-concentric. Each piece of equipment works opposing muscle groups. In other words, there literally is no need for an eccentric movement.</p>
<p>As an illustration, consider the user doing barbell curls with free weights (a constant resistance device). When the bar is curled up towards the chin, that&#8217;s a concentric (positive) movement for the biceps. When the bar is lowered away from the chin, that&#8217;s an eccentric (negative) movement, again for the biceps.</p>
<p>In direct contrast, a circuit training Bicep/Tricep machine is designed so that when the user reaches the top of the movement the equipment must be pushed back down to the bottom of the movement. It will not return on it&#8217;s own. So what was an eccentric movement for the biceps (with free weights) has become another concentric movement for the triceps. Because each machine works opposing muscle groups at the same time, the equipment eliminates the eccentric movement and is thus known as double-concentric.</p>
<p>Because the machines are double-concentric, each total body workout takes less time. Common sense dictates that working two separate and distinct (opposing) muscle groups at the same time is faster than working each muscle group individually.</p>
<p>Another point to be made is that the eccentric part of the resistance training movement is the component that will lead to extensive muscle growth. The eccentric (negative) is what actually causes the vast majority of the muscle growth in resistance training. The concentric (positive), on the other hand, primarily tones the muscle.</p>
<p>When you engage in resistance training you create microscopic tears in the muscle. These fibers repair and regenerate so that they are able to handle future bouts of similar work while experiencing less damage. What does this mean to you? Eccentric contractions cause greater muscle damage and thus provide the stimulus to make your muscles grow and strengthen. This may be due to eccentric contractions allowing greater force production in addition to less fiber recruitment, which means the fibers are stressed more and more damage occurs.</p>
<p>Why is that important? It&#8217;s important because, being double-concentric, circuit training fitness equipment will never lead to huge, Arnold-like muscle growth. Instead, it is designed to do two things only: burn fat and tone muscle.</p>
<p>Incidentally, the lack of any significant eccentric (negative) movement also means that the user will experience drastically reduced muscle soreness. The micro-tears in the muscle fiber that are a direct result of eccentric training simply do not occur with double-concentric equipment.</p>
<p>In conclusion, it&#8217;s easy to see that circuit training equipment may very well be the best solution for those seeking a quick weight loss program.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Weight Watchers is one of the longest running weight loss programs in the country. The plan has even reinvented itself to give plan users variety and therefore another reason to stick with it. The Weight Watchers program is based on the POINTS® system and group support.</p>
<p>Each starting weight category is assigned a range of points. This is the number of points that can be eaten in a day. According to the plan, as long as a person stays within that point range each day, they will lose weight. There are no food restrictions with Weight Watchers diets. They can have half of their calories come from a piece of cake as long as they don’t go over the daily point limit. </p>
<p>Dieters keep up with their points using a weekly food journal or a Weight Watchers calculator. They can subtract the point total of each thing that they eat to find out how many points they have left. Members attend weekly weigh-ins and group meetings to get advice from leaders and to hear others’ stories of success and sometimes failures too.</p>
<p>We all know that weight fluctuates often, weekly, daily and even hour to hour. This can be due to water weight and things like menstrual cycle, for women. Weekly weigh-ins do track progress but can sometimes be discouraging to the person who is staying within their daily points and exercising but only losing one or two pounds or worse, gaining a pound.</p>
<p>Every food is assigned a point value based on the serving size. Weight Watchers’ literature lists several of these foods, but obviously cannot list every food there is. For those foods that do not have a recorded point value, a slide rule is given to calculate that food’s point value. This number is based on fiber, fat, and calories per serving.</p>
<p>There is a cost for the weekly meetings. Each week dieters are charged before they weigh in. The cost is not high and you have access to not only the meetings, but the support and encouragement of those in attendance and online tools as well. Weight Watchers meetings can also be conducted at the workplace if there is enough interest. </p>
<p>Weight Watchers has expanded their diet to include chocolate candies, cereals, breads, yogurt, and frozen meals. Even other frozen entrees not sold by the company have the Weight Watchers point values on their boxes. Weight Watchers has several plans to fit the needs of the dieter.</p>
<p>Exercise is encouraged after the first few weeks. Be aware that a person on the Weight Watchers plan needs to read as much information as is made available to them in order to get the biggest benefit from eating health. Although the Weight Watcher’s diet plan allows participants eat what they want, doing so will more than likely backfire when beginning to exercise. If someone is not ingesting the right combination of foods, exercise will not help the weight to come off. This is the cause of many dieters spinning their wheels and finding themselves getting nowhere fast with their weight loss goals.</p>
<p>Anyone thinking of starting the Weight Watchers diet needs to remember the daily points are simply a guideline for eating. For those who don’t learn the right foods to consume, they may find the weight coming off, but a healthy lifestyle will still elude them. <p>ADD THE GOOD STUFF</p>
<p>Just because you&#8217;re serving an unpopular food doesn&#8217;t mean that&#8217;s all you have to serve.  Dress up the food with some healthy additions.  For example, if you&#8217;re preparing broccoli, you can add low-fat cheese or low-fat dressing.  This will keep calories and fat low but add flavor.  </p>
</p>
<p>USE THE YUCKY FOOD AS AN INGREDIENT IN SOMETHING ELSE</p>
<p>Many vegetables taste entirely different when they&#8217;re an ingredient in another dish.  For example, I love mushrooms on my pizza, but I wouldn&#8217;t dare pick up a raw one at the grocery store and take a bite.  When healthy foods are part of a recipe, their natural flavors are often enhanced and complemented by other flavors in the dish, making them taste great without sacrificing their nutritional value.</p>

<p>SET AN EXAMPLE</p>
<p>Whether you are trying to get your kids to eat their vegetables or just trying to convince your friends to try a new food, you can help by setting an example.  Eat healthy foods in front of your kids so they will see that it is okay to eat healthy foods.  Kids look up to older people, especially their parents, and if they see that you are excited about healthy foods, they might get excited about them, too.  The same concept will work with your friends.  If you are raving about a food, your friends will probably at least want to try it, even if it is &#8220;good for you.&#8221;</p>

<p>USE FRESH FOOD</p>
<p>Most foods taste much more delicious when they are eaten fresh.  Foods including green beans, broccoli, squash, and asparagus taste much different when they are prepared and eaten fresh than when they are canned, frozen, or otherwise preserved.  In fact, if you look through cookbooks, many recipes call specifically for fresh ingredients.  This is because you often get the best flavor and the tastiest results when you use fresh products.  If you can&#8217;t always afford fresh produce or fruit, you could even try growing your own at home, which would allow you to save on your grocery bill, too.</p>

<p>TRY DIFFERENT PREPARATION METHODS</p>

<p>Usually we all seek to lose weight as fast and easy as possible, and in top of that we want results right away. And if we don&#8217;t get them, we just quit and move along.</p>
<p>Frequently we become objective (to lose 1 kilo every week) and if in one week it lowers solely half kilo or what is worse, nothing happens, I get frustrated and that can lead me to no longer continue with the plan I set and then I just quit it.</p>
<p>Even there are times the people unconsciously set goals that are too hard to obtain so that I can leave it quickly, nobody (and I include myself) wants to follow a diet!!!</p>
<p>We make it because it is healthy but when we choose what it tastes better.</p>
<p>Does anybody likes lettuce?</p>
<p>If you want to follow your plan you need to set reasonable and reachable goals. A study stated that when people lower 500g per week, those people maintain long term descent.</p>
<p>It is the best objective that we can intend, to lower 500g for week and knowledge that some week won&#8217;t lose weight. If you want to lower quick we can also help you, of course, but I have to be conscious that in some moment losing weight rate won&#8217;t be the one as desired. And I don&#8217;t want to frustrate myself for that reason, the following week I will achieve the results.</p>
<p>The body is not something that reacts mathematically, the weight it depends on many factors, as the retention of liquids, the intestinal evacuation, the time in which weigh myself, that ingested the previous night, if I ingested pizza or another very salted food I will surely retain liquids, the same as if I began with an intense activity the previous day.</p>
<p>Another cause of failure in a diet is to be very strict with what you have to eat.</p>
<p>If I go to a party and I don&#8217;t eat anything, or same at home if I am extremely strict it is very difficult to be able to maintain the plan and in the first time that comes out, you will think I cannot make diet&#8221; or &#8220;this is not for me&#8221;, frustrating me once again, abandoning and feeling badly.</p>
<p>These 2 forms of thinking &#8220;if I don&#8217;t lower 1 kilo per week every week I&#8217;m not doing anything good at all&#8221; or &#8220;I can&#8217;t make the diet because I ate an ice cream.&#8221; are forms in that consciously or unconsciously plot us the diet to ourselves.</p>
<p>In fact I don&#8217;t want to make diet. Let us accept it!</p>
<p>Nobody wants to make it, but they want to lose weight. Unfortunately these 2 factors are really hard to join them together and make it work. Regrettably the 2 things join are not able to work together.</p>
<p>Perhaps it is time that you start making choices, and make decisions in order to choose which path you want to go. By just choosing to remain healthy, you will get results.</p>
